For those who believed President Donald Trump had no more surprising moves up his sleeves, the new file releases will bring remarkable revelations. UFOs, commonly referred to as UAPs by modern scientists, have been reported with increasing frequency in recent years, and thanks to the Trump administration’s efforts, the public is finally gaining greater access to this information. The announcement of the current declassification came in late February 2026 as part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) action.The first round (Release 01) was released on May 8 2026 and included 161 files comprising PDFs, videos, and documents spanning several decades. The second tranche was released later on May 22, 2026, with an additional 64 files of a similar nature, bringing the total to over 200 newly released UFO-related declassifications.

These include documents, military sightings, and personal firsthand encounters from notable senior intelligence officials even. The files primarily relate to unresolved cases where intelligence agencies were unable to definitively identify the subjects due to insufficient data or irregularities with known physics. While a third tranche has also been mentioned as in progress, there is currently no public information regarding its release date. These documents do not constitute conclusive proof of extraterrestrial life or alien technology, as their name suggests; they include Unidentified Aerial Phenomenas. The reports begin with early military encounters from the 1940s, however, they also include accounts as recent as 2025.

A 2025 encounter, –the exact date is unknown due to reductions in the files– detailes a military response to UAP sightings, during which multiple military personnel witnessed the strange orbs firsthand. The witnesses recalled investigating a loud sound near a test facility linked to previous hovering orb sightings. The officials approached the location by helicopter. Initially, they did not find anything out of the ordinary and began their return route when one of their scanners indicated something hovering nearby, prompting them to follow up. They then reported a close UAP encounter that lasted over an hour.
The glowing orbs were moving at high speed, and one of them appeared to split in two and accelerate in different directions. The incident was allegedly witnessed by multiple military personnel, all of whom provided separate reports, which you can find here.

These and countless other encounters are detailed within these newly declassified documents, along with more videos, images, and personal statements. Many images and videos show military sensor footage of orbs and other metallic objects seemingly defying the laws of physics. Pictures of football and star-shaped UAPs, as well as fireball-like objects, can be observed within the released files. NASA documents detailing cigar-shaped objects, and FBI case files between 1947-68 detail constantly reoccurring flying disks. The reports span across a stunning 80 years, from the 40s, until 2025. The existence of these files alone has something eerie about it, but the fact that these are just some of the collected files is beyond comprehension. The president’s spokesperson has actually mentioned a third tranche of files that is currently being worked on, meaning that there must be thousands of these files and encounters, most of which will still be kept secret.
While experts claim these encounters are not clear-cut evidence for the existence of extraterrestrials, it is hard to argue against multiple personal statements from official government personnel stating exactly the opposite. They don’t describe it as unknown technology; they claim it is extraterrestrial technology. Yet, experts argue that these are just displays of unresolved anomalies, with many possibly being drones, balloons, artifacts, or misidentifications.

Still, none of these explanations account for the bursting accelerations and anomalous maneuvers.
